Why I Went Independent

I studied Finance and Risk Management at Saint Joseph’s University, then had the opportunity to learn the business hands-on at an Allstate agency. I was fortunate to have a great mentor who taught me not only about insurance, but also about serving clients well and building a business the right way.

That experience reinforced an important lesson: price is only one part of a good insurance decision. A lower premium means very little if the coverage does not respond when it matters. I also learned how valuable it is to have an agent you can actually call, someone who understands the policy language, knows what questions to ask, and can help you make sense of your options.

Those experiences ultimately led me to start MAPS. I wanted the flexibility to evaluate each client’s situation and then consider the carriers and coverage options that best fit their needs. Different homes, businesses, and families can require different approaches, and the independent model gives me a broader set of tools to work with.

Just as important, it allows the relationship to remain centered on the client rather than any one carrier. As needs change over time, I can continue to review the situation, reassess the available options, and help determine what makes sense next. My goal is to be a long-term resource for clients as their families, businesses, and risks evolve. I look forward to helping you plan for what’s ahead.
